A single museum can occupy half a day, and many visitors discover that trying to “tick off” too many institutions makes the trip less enjoyable. Dubai’s signature attractions tend to be newer and more experience-led: observation points, beaches, desert activities, entertainment venues, large family attractions and highly designed public spaces.

Which city is easier to get around?

London has the advantage for car-free travel. Its rail, Underground and bus networks cover a large area, and walking is part of the normal visitor experience. Dubai’s Metro is useful along major corridors, but taxis and ride-hailing often form part of a realistic itinerary, especially when beaches, resorts or attractions sit away from stations. Couples may prefer Dubai for resort time and evening dining, while London can feel stronger for culture-heavy weekends. Solo travellers often appreciate London’s walkability and transport density, although Dubai can also be straightforward when accommodation is well located.
