What this policy covers
The Travels Tip uses cookies and similar browser storage for defined functions such as keeping a secure session, protecting forms, remembering limited security choices and, when permitted, measuring how the publication is used.
Essential session and authentication storage
When you sign in, the CMS uses essential session information so the server can recognise your authenticated account across pages. Security tokens also protect forms and OAuth/social-login state. Blocking this essential storage can prevent Login, Account Dashboard, Admin and other authenticated features from working correctly.
Trusted-browser and security choices
If you explicitly trust a browser after MFA, the CMS can store a protected browser token for the configured trust period. Password or MFA security changes can invalidate that trust. Recovery codes are account security credentials and are not stored in an ordinary browser cookie.
Reader view measurement
The public site may use a signed technical identifier to reduce duplicate article-view counting and support basic readership metrics. This identifier is designed for publication measurement rather than to reveal the identity of an anonymous reader.
Optional analytics and advertising measurement
The CMS supports optional analytics and advertising integrations such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and configured conversion measurement. Where the consent interface is active, optional measurement remains off until the visitor chooses to accept it. Rejecting non-essential measurement does not disable the cookies required for sign-in or security.
Direct advertising and affiliate measurement
First-party sponsored/affiliate placements can use CMS delivery counters, including aggregate placement/campaign impressions or outbound clicks. A partner website can use its own cookies or measurement after you follow a link away from The Travels Tip; those external controls are governed by that provider.
Your choices
Use the on-site Privacy & cookies choice where available to accept or reject optional measurement. You can also delete or block browser cookies through browser settings, although blocking essential cookies can make authenticated features unavailable.
Changes to this policy
This policy should be reviewed whenever The Travels Tip activates a new cookie-dependent analytics, advertising, authentication or personalization service. The current published date identifies the latest version.
