Relevant backgrounds can include destination experience, hospitality, aviation, cruises, restaurants, outdoor travel, tourism, transport, travel operations, customer experience or other subject expertise connected to the stories we publish.

What makes a strong contributor

A strong applicant can explain what they know, how they know it and what kind of reader they can help. We value specific experience over a long list of generic interests. Writing should be clear, useful, accurate and comfortable with acknowledging trade-offs or uncertainty.

What we publish

Our main categories are Destinations, Things to Do, Itineraries, Hotels, Flights, Cruises, Food & Drink, Outdoors, Travel Tips and Travel News. Applications are stronger when samples and expertise clearly match one or more of these areas.

How the application works

  1. Create a reader account and complete the profile information you want associated with your account.
  2. Open the writer application from the account dashboard.
  3. Provide a concise professional biography, relevant experience, areas of expertise and representative writing samples.
  4. Submit the application for editorial review.
  5. If approved, complete the public author profile and follow the writer guide for drafting, sourcing, SEO, review and publication.

Editorial standards apply to every contributor

Approval is not permission to publish anything without review. Writer permissions, quotas, plan requirements and review rules are enforced by the CMS for registered writers. Authorized owners and administrators may have broader publishing rights, but all public content remains subject to the same accuracy and integrity expectations.

Originality and rights

Submissions must be original or lawfully licensed for the intended use. Writers are responsible for the rights to text, photographs and other material they provide. Plagiarism, fabricated experience, invented sources or undisclosed conflicts can result in rejection or loss of contributor access.

Payments and commercial terms

Contributor payment, if offered for a particular assignment, should be agreed separately before work begins. A writer plan or publishing subscription is an account entitlement and should not be confused with payment for commissioned editorial work.
