Acceptance of these terms

These Terms govern use of The Travels Tip public website, Reader accounts, comments, newsletters, Writer applications, editorial submissions and paid services that the publication has enabled. If you do not agree with them, do not use features that require an account or submission.

Travel information is guidance, not a guarantee

Prices, schedules, visa and entry requirements, health/safety advice, availability, local rules and operating details can change. Check time-sensitive information with the relevant government authority, airline, hotel, transport operator, attraction or other official source before you book, travel or rely on it.

Accounts and sign-in methods

You are responsible for keeping your account information current and protecting access to it. Depending on configuration, one account may use a local password and linked Google, Facebook or LinkedIn sign-in identities. Do not attempt to link an identity you do not control, bypass MFA or trusted-session controls, or access another person's account without authorization.

Reader features and community participation

Saved/liked articles, follows, recently viewed items, private notes, notifications and newsletter preferences are account conveniences. Public comments and profile content must follow the Community Guidelines. Do not publish passwords, payment credentials, another person's private data, spam, unlawful content or deceptive endorsements.

Writer applications and editorial submissions

A Writer application does not guarantee approval, publication or payment. Contributors are responsible for originality, rights, factual support and appropriate disclosure. The editorial team can request changes, reject work, restrict publishing access or correct published material when standards are not met.

Writer plans and payments

Where paid Writer plans are enabled, the current offer, billing interval, entitlements and available Payment Method are shown through the checkout workflow. Commercial publishing entitlement is separate from editorial approval. Payment/refund handling remains subject to the configured provider or institution and any additional terms shown at checkout.

Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate links

The site can display clearly labelled advertising, sponsorship or affiliate placements, including beside Search or editorial content. A paid placement is not an editorial endorsement. External advertisers, booking services and social platforms operate under their own terms after you leave The Travels Tip.

Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless stated otherwise, The Travels Tip's site design, original editorial text, images and publication materials are protected by applicable rights. Personal reading does not grant permission to scrape, republish, resell or build a competing content database from the service.

Security and prohibited use

Do not interfere with the service, probe or bypass security without authorization, automate abusive traffic, upload malicious code, impersonate another person, manipulate engagement/commercial metrics or use the platform in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.

Account restriction and closure

Accounts can be restricted for security, abuse, fraud, repeated policy violations or misuse of publishing privileges. Users can also close their own account through Privacy controls. Minimum editorial, financial or security records may remain where preserving those records is necessary for integrity, reconciliation or legal obligations.

Changes and contact

The service and these Terms can evolve as features or legal requirements change. The current published version and date apply from publication, subject to any notice required by applicable law. Questions can be sent through the Contact route.
